Elizabeth Griffiths, LMHC
Practice Owner/Clinical Director
Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor, providing services to individuals and couples in and around the Navarre, Florida area. I am a caring person with a passion for my profession who enjoys helping others become more in-tune with their needs and abilities as they navigate down their life path. We all have bumps in the road, occasionally leading us to feel stuck. I believe in the power that listening and feeling heard has on a person’s ability to heal. I believe that all individuals are unique and valuable, worthy of respect and compassion. I strive to provide a safe, confidential space for individuals to explore and find purpose, clarity, balance and peace.
As a person of Christian faith, I welcome and embrace the opportunity to work with those of similar faith, integrating professional counseling techniques and biblical principles into therapy sessions; however, those of different faith/values are also respected during the therapeutic process and relationship.
In my years of experience, I have worked with numerous individuals dealing with many different concerns. My experience includes successfully counseling diverse populations dealing with all levels of depression, sexual trauma, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, self-image, grief/loss, and other trauma.
While working in Metro Atlanta in conjunction with the VA Medical Center, I gained extensive experience working with the military population, to include providing care for military-related PTSD, difficulty with transition/adjustment, and unique family/couple issues.
In addition, I spent several years working in state funded mental health outpatient facilities and schools in Metro Atlanta, where I worked with adults, children, and couples on processing trauma, managing anxiety, relationship concerns, and depression.
My education includes a Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University, BS in Criminal Justice w/ minor in Psychology, and AA in Early Childhood Education.
