Elizabeth Griffiths, MS, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Hello! I'm Elizabeth Griffiths, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the owner of Cornerstone Counseling Group, LLC. My dedication to this profession stems from a deep-seated passion for guiding individuals through life's hurdles. I am committed to delivering the most professional therapy services aimed at fostering healing, renewal, and direction for my clients. With over 12 years of clinical expertise, my background spans diverse areas, including specialized work with Veterans and their families, couples, adults, and children of all ages. While I value working within all belief systems, I particularly welcome the opportunity to assist fellow Christians through Christian-based therapy approaches, always respecting individual beliefs.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of assisting varied populations grappling with depression, Christian-based counseling, sexual trauma, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, grief/loss, and other forms of trauma. Additionally, I excel in helping couples overcome communication barriers, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their bond. My journey in private practice spans 7 years, following significant experience in state-funded mental health outpatient facilities and schools in Metro Atlanta. Here, I worked extensively with adults, children, and couples, addressing trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, and depression. I've also collaborated with the VA Medical Center, supporting military personnel with PTSD, transition difficulties, and family-related challenges.

On a personal note, I've been happily married for 25 years and am the proud parent of two amazing college-aged children. My two beloved dogs often keep me company in my home office. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, engaging in outdoor activities, soaking up the sun at the beach with friends, and singing karaoke. My educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology, and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
