Greetings!  I am a licensed clinical social worker and veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  Military life was a blessing and a challenge, and I know well the unique challenges of being an active duty member, military spouse, and mother.

During my time as a social worker, I have gained extensive experience by working with veterans in crisis suffering with PTSD and substance use disorders, adolescents/teens in the school setting with students who struggled with self-esteem, social skills issues, ADHD, anger issues, self-harm, and grief and loss. I have also worked with individuals, children, couples, and families struggling with chronic illness in an outpatient cancer treatment center. I also worked with individuals diagnosed with terminal illnesses under hospice care who struggled with depression, anxiety, and anticipatory grief.  I have extensive knowledge and experience working with the aging population as well as understanding the emotional and physical toll of being a caregiver for a loved one diagnosed with dementia. After a devastating loss, I worked with family members coming to terms with the grief and loss of a beloved family member.

My approach is to create a welcoming, confidential, comfortable space to explore, validate and provide therapeutic interventions to facilitate personal growth.  I will provide empathy and compassion in a non-judgmental way, as we explore together what is heavy on your heart and mind, by using person-centered, narrative, strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, emotionally focused and mindfulness therapies to instill hope for a more positive path on your life’s journey. I am a trauma- informed therapist certified in using EMDR.

I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL and my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of West Florida, in Pensacola, FL.
