Pascha Avery, LMHC
Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor, and I have worked in the mental health profession for over 10 years, working with children and adolescents in the school setting and in the child welfare system. I have also worked with adolescents and adults in residential substance and mental health treatment settings, offering individual therapy and group therapy sessions. I believe that life happens to all of us and it’s not always an easy journey. I would love to offer you a warm and compassionate environment as you walk through long-term struggles or recent difficulties. Beginning therapy can seem scary, but I believe it takes courage and insight to desire to work on yourself. I would love to collaborate with you as we create interventions that will help you gain the tools you need to navigate life’s, often difficult, path for personal achievement and growth.
I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and I have experience helping clients work through ADHD symptoms, anxiety, depression, substance use, domestic/intimate partner violence, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, relationship challenges, crisis intervention, and trauma. I earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, in
Minneapolis, MN and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Maryland University College, in Adelphi, MD.
I look forward to collaborating with you to create a safe environment as you embark on a journey of healing and wholeness.
