Pascha Avery, LMHC, Clinical Supervisor

Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 13 years of experience working in the mental health profession. By providing administrative and clinical oversight, along with supervision, to the clinical team at Cornerstone, I strive to ensure the highest level of quality treatment and support to our clients by guiding our clinical team towards excellence. I have worked with children and adolescents in the school setting and in the child welfare system, with adolescents and adults in residential substance and mental health treatment settings, and have offered individual therapy and group therapy sessions in private practice. My past experience includes serving as the Clinical Director in community mental health.
I believe that life happens to all of us and it’s not always an easy journey. I would love to offer you a warm and compassionate environment as you walk through long-term struggles or recent difficulties. Beginning therapy can seem scary, but I believe it takes courage and insight to desire to work on yourself. I would love to collaborate with you as we create interventions that will help you gain the tools you need to navigate life’s, often difficult, path for personal achievement and growth.
I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and I have experience helping clients navigate symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, substance use/abuse, domestic/intimate partner violence, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, relationship challenges, crisis intervention, and trauma.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, in Minneapolis, MN and I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Maryland University College, in Adelphi, MD.
I look forward to collaborating with you to create a safe environment as you embark on a journey of healing and wholeness.
