Marty Handlon, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Hi there! I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working towards independent licensure in the state of Florida, and I graduated with my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama. In my first two years as a counselor, I have been working primary with individuals battling substance addiction and their families, helping them identify under lying concerns and developing life changing skills for their journey into recovery.
My life experiences are highlighted by the joy I receive in helping people, and as a woman of Christian faith, I have realized there is purpose in our pain. We don't always need help looking through the difficulty, disappointment, or hurt to see our growth, but sometimes we do need someone to come along side of us, to hear us, encourage us, and help sort through the thoughts and emotions. My hope is to meet my clients where they are and counsel them through whatever difficult season they are experiencing. I look forward to working with you and walking along side of you in your journey.
